National Work Safe Month
October is National Safe Work Month—a time to commit to building a safe and healthy workplace.
The theme 'WHS – think physical, think psychological” is a reminder that under the Work Health and Safety (WHS) laws psychosocial is as important as physical.
Being healthy and safe means being free from physical and psychological harm. No job should be unsafe and no death or injury is acceptable. A safe and healthy workplace benefits everyone. This is why, during October each year, Safe Work Australia asks businesses, employers and workers across Australia to join National Safe Work Month and commit to building safe and healthy workplaces for all Australians.
The Western Australian government believes that every person who goes to work deserves to come home healthy and safe. WorkSafe is committed to supporting healthy and safe workplaces for the WA community, industry and the resources sector.
In October WorkSafe highlights ways you can develop and maintain healthy and safe workplaces.
